Side Table
The Addington Reclaimed Walnut Side Table
Where the raw power of nature meets the sharp lines of modern design. More than just a piece of furniture, The Addington is a tribute to a fallen giant and a specific place in time. Crafted from a single, breathtaking slab of American Walnut, this side table features a wood grain so deep and rich it flows like dark silk.
A Story Rooted in History
This isn't ordinary timber. The Addington carries the legacy of a tree that once stood tall on the fairways of the historic Addington Palace Golf Club in Croydon. When the tree finally fell, it wasn't sent to the scrap heap. It was sustainably rescued, carefully kiln-dried, and preserved—honoring the philosophy that we shouldn't cut for the sake of cutting, but rather cherish what nature has already gifted us.
Artisanal Craftsmanship
Brought to life at Makerversity, this table was crafted not from a rigid blueprint, but from pure creative instinct. Instead of imposing a design onto the wood, we revealed its hidden depths. The surface features a precision-carved, diamond-quilted geometric landscape that beautifully plays with the light, contrasting the organic warmth of the walnut.
Supported by a bold, structural "X" frame base, The Addington strikes a perfect balance between rustic history and sleek, contemporary aesthetics.
